Creating a business.

Embarking on my teaching journey with just a small group of four individuals, I found myself in unfamiliar territory, teaching in an area where I had no prior connections. Yet, driven by passion and determination, I sought to build a thriving community around my Pilates classes.

Through the power of social media, I extended a warm invitation to the local community, inviting them to join me on this wellness journey. Little did I know, this humble beginning would pave the way for something extraordinary.

Just as my momentum was building, fate dealt its hand with the sudden onset of lockdown. While it could have been a crushing blow, I saw it as an opportunity for growth and adaptation. With resilience as my guide, I delved into the realm of online teaching, mastering platforms like Zoom, YouTube, and Instagram.

As someone who never quite embraced technology, each step was a challenge, particularly as a plus-size individual navigating the world of fitness content creation. Yet, I refused to let fear or doubt hold me back. With each hurdle, I embraced the opportunity to learn and grow, even venturing into website development—an endeavor I once deemed beyond my capabilities.

As we stepped into the new year of 2022, my business faced its share of struggles, but through sheer dedication and perseverance, I emerged stronger than ever. Not only did I weather the storm, but I thrived, seizing every opportunity to expand my impact.

Fuelled by a desire to empower others, I pursued additional training to become a certified Pilates teacher trainer. Now, not only do I uplift my own community, but I also have the privilege of equipping others to do the same.

In every obstacle lies an opportunity for greatness, and my journey is a testament to the transformative power of resilience and unwavering determination.
